Exercise 1-2
INSTRUCTIONS
Exercise 1 - Quantify & Visualize Data (Week 1)
For the first activity, we must quantify the item we have selected and organize them in a visually appealing chart or layout. To help us visualize the quantity and data, the item must be presented exactly as it is, with pertinent signs spelled out with pens.
I used Sour Skittles for this exercise and A3 paper. There were 37 pieces
of Skittles 10 Yellow, 8 Red, 7 Green, also 7 Purple, and 5 Orange. I did
research and see a few reference but, I got the idea from the Skittles
packaging itself because I didn't find any reference that matches.

INSTRUCTION:
1. Organize a group of information into a visual poster that combines and
utilizes the LATCH principles (Minimum 4).
2. You are required to use the digital photo editing/illustration
software available to assemble the information into a LATCH infographic
poster.
3. You are allowed to reuse back the images but you have to create the

I decided to do infinity stones from MCU or Marvel Cinematic Universe. This Idea came up my mind after a few ideas like helmet history, bike history, etc. I used to love Marvel movies before it sunk, I love Ironman but they killed him with infinity stones. I also love the adventure and journey of finding what is the stone's power and how to find it. The information of the infinity stones can be found in the movie or websites not in the comics because there is a few difference from the comics.

Testing halftone effect
Progress
I tried different colors for the background and different approach
Progress
I use both Photoshop and Illustrator for this exercise. The halftone effect is better in photoshop and also for masking images. I made a mistake by doing the halftone effect 1 by 1 each image however I didn't took long to realize and redo.
Masking
after placing all the images in Illustrator I went to photoshop to add paper texture and do the halftone effect for that vintage comic look.
REFLECTIONS
Both exercises taught me the basics of information design. The first exercise helped me understand how to visualize data effectively while considering factors like distribution and relationships. I also learned the importance of choosing the right visualization techniques for accurate data representation. The L.A.T.C.H. Infographic Poster exercise showed me how to structure information using the L.A.T.C.H. framework. By organizing content into clear categories with distinct visuals, I created an engaging and easy-to-navigate poster.
